ESI Central Pattern Generator animated diagram

This moving diagram was put together for Equitation Science International for their online classes and live presentations.

It illustrates the energetic system and flow between a horses brain and its limbs, a coordination that innately utilises two central nervous clusters (Central Pattern Generators, or CPG's), that affect the horses diagonal connection and gait synchrony.

As Andrew McLean, co-director of ESI proudly said; "this has never before been illustrated in the history of anatomy and biomechanics".
